Students, faculty, and staff are invited to explore the Art Gallery’s Hume American Furniture Study Center during a special open house featuring a live demonstration of 17th-century joinery and carving by nationally known furnituremaker Peter Follansbee. Guests will also be able to try their hand at seat caning and repair with Cathy Silverman, YUAG Associate Conservator of Furniture and Objects. Free round-trip shuttle service is available from the bus stop on York Street at the corner of Chapel Street. Shuttles depart on the half hour starting at 12:30pm.
