Transport & Parking

Social distancing on Yale shuttles is critical to the health and safety of the Yale community. As a result, based on new social distancing guidelines, shuttle passenger capacity and routes will be extremely limited. Shuttles will operate at approximately 25% of normal rider capacity to ensure social distancing. Further, temporary changes to existing shuttle routes may be required.

Commuters may wish to consider other personal transportation options to and from campus, including personal bikes, Y-Bikes, and bike share bikes and we remind commuters that personal vehicles (which can be parked in Yale parking lots for free through June), Uber, and Lyft can also support campus mobility.

The West Campus shuttle began running the full Weekend Purple loop on Monday, June 1. From June 8th Yale Transport has extended the service with the first departure out of lot 22 at 5:30am and two vehicles running every half hour until 7:30pm, when the purple line will shift to hourly runs through 11:30pm.
