Connecting Past to Present: Building a Cultural Heritage Center in Lagos, Nigeria

Join us for the launch of the Yale IPCH Public Talks: a series dedicated to exploring global perspectives and critical developments that impact cultural heritage preservation. In this inaugural event, this distinguished expert panel will contextualize the highly anticipated John Randle Centre for Yoruba History and Culture within the economic, social, and cultural landscape of Lagos, the most populous city on the African continent.

IPCH lunch seminar: Hyperreal Archives: Digital Presents / Analogue Pasts

“Hyperreal Archives: Digital Presents / Analogue Pasts” is a conversational presentation given by six different scholars and practitioners operating between and among art, architecture, urban studies, and cultural sociology. This discussion is moderated by Yale GSAS alumni fellow, Dr. Denise Lim, and co-led by two academic staff from the University of Johannesburg’s Graduate School of Architecture (UJ GSA)—Sarah de Villiers and Naadira Patel.

The Mission and Capabilities of the FBI Art Crime Team and the Role of the United States Cultural Heritage Coordinating Committee

IPCH is pleased to announce it will host a lunchtime seminar with FBI Special Agent Jake Archer from the Art Crime Team on April 7, 2021, 12pm ET. The subject of the talk will be an overview of the FBI Art Crime Team’s work with the US Cultural Heritage Coordinating Committee (see below). Egg Hunt

Get outside and enjoy the spring weather with a campus-wide egg hunt! Starting April 12th, look around campus outside for hidden plastic eggs filled with prizes and candy. Check your surroundings when you walk to lunch, as you walk to the shuttle or your car, or as you explore the rest of campus and keep an eye out for the golden egg for a special prize.

All Points West is a Campus-wide symposium showcasing trainee research, and 2021 will be our third annual event! Our aim is to increase cross-talk, communication, and collaboration among trainees at West Campus while encouraging broad research communications and strengthening the West Campus community.
