The West Campus Graduate Student and Postdoc Committee was developed to support continuous improvements to the quality of student and postdoc life on campus. The committee welcomes members from all academic disciplines on West Campus, including the seven Institutes related to health science, energy science, and cultural heritage; the Yale School of Nursing; Yale Collections; and the Yale Landscape Lab.
The Committee is served by three sub-committees designed to target specific, campus-wide issues that are of importance to graduate and professional students: academic/professional development, student communications, and student life.
Participants are engaged in numerous projects, such as: improving communication of West Campus events; organizing research talks and career development workshops; improving transit; coordinating sports events and facilities; and providing creative input to the campus space.
The main Committee meetings are held on the first Friday of every month in Conference Center Room 208 from 12-1pm, following which issues are discussed with representatives of West Campus Administration.

Research in Progress Seminar Series
With the support of West Campus Administration, the Committee organizes and hosts campus-wide research in progress seminars. These talks are designed to connect the breadth of research occurring across campus. The research in progress format lends itself to highlighting incomplete research projects and provides a forum in which our community of scholars can offer constructive feedback to help the research along. This is an opportunity to let your off-the-wall ideas fly!
