“West Haven Rocks WHEAT” Food Drive

Yale West Campus and West Haven Councilman Barry Lee Cohen are holding a “West Haven ROCKS WHEAT,” food drive on Saturday, November 14th at the Off Shore Restaurant & Lounge parking lot from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Location is 852 Jones Hill Road, West Haven. As stated on the WHEAT website, food items highly coveted this month include peanut butter, macaroni and cheese, canned green beans, cold cereal, tomato sauce, and soups (all types). All nonperishable food items are greatly appreciated.

The Office of Career Strategy and The Office of Graduate Student Development & Diversity are collaborating with the Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning to present to you a virtual workshop that will inform you on how to best navigate Zoom for your professional and career development.

Photo Contest

Parallel Programming with R (online)

Parallel Programming with R is a two-hour intermediate-level course on using R for parallel computing. This course will cover:
- Writing parallel programs using R’s foreach, parallel and MPI packages, mostly focusing on foreach
- How to run parallel R programs using Slurm on the YCRC clusters
- How to install parallel R using Conda
A basic understanding of R and Slurm on the HPC clusters is helpful but not required.
