Yale Medicine’s Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (REI) Section will be the latest addition to the University’s West Campus when it moves from the Long Wharf Medical Center, it has been announced.
Part of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at Yale School of Medicine, the comprehensive care and treatment facility will be the first clinical practice to be located at the West Campus. The practice specializes in infertility and IVF treatments.
Renovations will soon begin to the second floor of building 200 at the western end of the Campus.
The REI Section specializes in evaluating, diagnosing, managing and treating a wide range of endocrine disorders that are either directly or indirectly related to reproduction.
“I am excited to have Hugh Taylor and his group join us at Yale’s West Campus,” said Scott Strobel, Vice President of West Campus Planning and Program Development. “I hope that the mission of REI – integrating outstanding reproductive science with cutting edge and compassionate patient-centered clinical care – will be well served next to Yale School of Nursing and the scientific institutes already here on campus.”
REI’s state-of-the-art facilities offer comprehensive care and treatment options from one of the few centers in the country that has a Reproductive Specialist with dual training in both male and female infertility. The section is dedicated to helping its patients understand their treatment options and achieve pregnancy.
Yale’s West Campus was purchased by Yale in 2007. With a population of over 1600 faculty, students, and staff, the campus is home to seven research institutes spanning scholarship in health, energy and cultural heritage. The Yale School of Nursing relocated to the West Campus in 2013.
