Hello Yale West Campus Community Members!
Is your child interested in learning about science and meeting Yale scientists across our campus? Please see below for an opportunity for your 6th-12th grade child to join our annual Yale Pathways to Science WEST CAMPUS FESTIVAL! This year’s theme is Energy! There are 25 spaces reserved for children of our West Campus family. Please have them join us!
Pathways to Science Third Annual West Campus Festival: The Science of Energy
Saturday, October 12th, 9am-3pm, Yale West Campus Conference Center, 100 West Campus Dr, Bldg 800, West Haven*
*Parents can drop off students directly at Yale’s West Campus or students can take shuttle from New Haven.
Free admission. Open exclusively to 125 Pathways Scholars and West Campus Staff children. Register at onhsa.yale.edu/westcampusfest
Come join us for a day of hands-on science, festivities, and prizes! How do plants store energy from the sun? Can you get power from mud? How much energy is in a bag of potato chips? Learn all about the science of energy at the annual Yale Pathways West Campus Festival. Build wind turbines and solar panels, make your own batteries and food, and much more! You’ll see many different places where science can happen - from chemistry labs to the Landscape Lab. Remember to dress comfortably – we’ll be examining energy both inside and outside! Closed-toe shoes and long pants required for labs. Registration required. Lunch is included.
