Lee Woo-Hyun, President of OCI

“Future of Solar Renewable Energy: Industrial Perspectives”

Mr. Lee Woo-Hyun is the President of OCI (Commodity Chemicals) Ltd., engaging in the manufacturing and sales of chemical products. Since 2005 Mr. Woo-Hyun has spearheaded the establishment of OCI as a global leader in the green energy and chemical sectors. During his tenure he initiated both the polysilicon business and the solar energy development business. In 2012 he played a leading role in winning a 400 MW power supply project in San Antonio, Texas, which was one of the largest solar energy projects in the U.S.A. He also oversaw construction of OCI’s polysilicon plants and the conclusion of major long term contracts with global clients. He majored in Chemical Engineering at Sogang University, and earned his MBA with a concentration in Marketing & Finance at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
