American Health Care: Paradox and Promise
Speaker: Elizabeth H. Bradley, PhD, MBA Brady-Johnson Professor of Grand Strategy, Head of Branford College, Professor of Public Health and Faculty Director of the Yale Global Health Leadership Institute

Established in 1964, the Bellos lecture honors 1927 Yale School of Nursing (YSN) graduate Sybil Palmer Bellos, who forged an exemplary nursing career, working with immigrant families in New York and holding several leadership positions in New York and Connecticut. Each year, the Bellos lecture features a remarkable individual who epitomizes Bellos’ dedication to expanding the frontiers of healthcare.
Dr. Bradley’s work suggests a novel approach to understanding why the US spends twice as much money as its peer countries and yet is far less healthy. During this lecture, she will examine the social and cultural norms that have led to the system we have and consider a potential leverage point for positive change in the decades ahead.

Please join us in honoring Dr. Bradley and RSVP here!

Lecture immediately followed by Wisser Tea Reception.
